It feels great when you manage to find data on the beginning of graphic design in a certain country, but when you stumble upon an entire collection of posters, some of them dating back to 1925, that’s truly an amazing find. This collection boasts something around 80 posters from different periods of the People’s Republic of China. The collection is really valuable; it even contains two extremely rare posters from the early twentieth century. Posters from the period of the proclamation of the People’s Republic, after the civil disorders are my personal favorites, their and the drawing techniques employed are just amazing. They usually deal with one of two themes – proclamation of the People’s Republic or agricultural and technological reconstruction.
