Diamonds typefamily – geometric new letterforms

HVD Fonts is a type foundry from Berlin/Germany, founded in 2005 by Hannes von Döhren. They produce high quality typefaces as much for display as for text use.

The Diamonds type family was designed in 2012 by Hannes von Döhren. It is an experimental search for geometric new letterforms, which are still simple to reads and generate some unexpected attention. Hannes desired to generate a straight and clear typeface but pull away from the path of classic and well learned letter shapes.

The Diamonds type family is supplied for advanced and professional typography. The OpenType fonts have an extended character set to support Central and Eastern European also as Western European languages. Every font includes alternate letters, fractions, scientific superior/inferior figures and a group of arrows and geometric forms.

Diamonds include 11different Fonts and there cost is for Single weight – $30 and Complete type family – $149

I’m fond of more abstract fonts mnkiag an appearance on the Internet, especially in graphical mediums. With support for CSS growing and expanding I’m sure vintage fonts will make a comeback as designers look further in creating more artistic visions on the web.As far as my interests go I’m shocked that no one has been able to come up with a good Mathematical font and method for the Internet. It’s shocking that after all these years we can’t even write equations without including them as images.
