Simon Ålander – a great young calligraphist & designer

I was browsing through my Delicious bookmarks today and I found one that really caught my attention a couple of days ago, Simon Alander is a 23 year old calligraphist with an extraordinary talent for type face solutions. He is extremely versatile and loves to experiment with different surfaces and materials. His portfolio has some wonderful examples of type face solutions brought to perfection.

 

While I was viewing his work that can be found on http://www.coffeemademedoit.com I came upon a Behance link where he displayed his creativity with jelly. This is what Simon had to say about the project he named jelly type experiment: “Sometimes I get tired of the digital creative space so I decided to create something outside the computer. Just have fun and be far away from ⌘+z and perfection.”
